17/1/06 11:42 am60% of the time, I can now stick on hand in the air for at least two seconds without falling off. Maybe 10% of the time I manage this without careening into imaginary traffic. I'm pretty certain I should not be allowed on roads yet, but I'm definitely better than I was this morning. Even if my hands do really hurt because my handlebars seem to be designed in such a way as to make you very unwilling to hold on to them. And I'm still finding it hard to push off, which I swear I never had a problem with as a child. I suspect there will be more cycling around the river before I dream of going out on the roads on my own. I can just about follow Toast.
Oh, and I totally blinker myself. I have no clue about traffic, other cyclists, pedestrians, dogs... Okay, so I notice the dogs, but part of me isn't really concerned about stopping for them.
(on the other hand, all this is giving me a chance to play with my new icon. Tiny robins!)
