14/4/03 06:28 pmThere's something deeply amusing about FF.N reviews. Most are either 'wow youre so gr8...', full of terrible spelling and obsequious prase, or they're very very professional. Like a film review. Its hard to tell which makes me laugh more, but both are very flattering. Actually, I prefer more critical ones, of which there are several (I feel so conceited writing about their sycophantic reviews, but I do actually get quite a lot. I've sort of picked up a loyal fanbase, which is nice and never fails to put me in a good mood) and I rarely get flames, which is very encouraging.
The film reviews just sometimes sound a bit like the reviewer's trying just a little too hard. Hell, pot calling kettle black. I go out of my way to use ridiculouy long words and convulted sentences, both in fics and reviews. Makes me feel posh and superior. ^_^ Okay, when rereading it just makes me feel a bit daft, because I sound like Arthur Conan Doyle. '"Watson!" Holmes ejaculated, "By jove, I have it!"' And yes, he does, frequently, use the word 'ejaculated' instead of 'exclaimed'. Makes the stories a hell of a lot more amusing, expecially if you're not prepared for it. ^_^
And yes, the emoti-dragons are stoned. Yet another thing to make me giggle.
