Because life wasn't random enough
26/9/03 07:46 amYou know those self help books? Personally, I loathe them. Naturally,. my mother loves them and has hundreds. A good point about them is made in Bridget Jones, but i can't remember what it is other than they're not worth the money you spend on them. Anyway, the result of this self-help obsession, is on a semi-regular basis little post-it notes appear around the monitor with 'helpful' messages on. Today's would be: PRUNE PROTECT less on things I don't enjoy more of things I do. Sometimes mum just writes straight onto the monitor casing, so the computer I inherited is covered in little scribbles.
So, not something I really want to see each morning. I glance at teh screen, and stop. Because on the other side of the monitor is a photo labelled "Nine-banded Armadillo". The photo is of said Armadillo. Now I have to ask myself why. And stop myself from quoting the Dime advert.
Too late. "Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, Armadillos!" (west country accent, I think)
I don't really have anything else to add, except still needing more seep, but I can live with that. Oh, and it has taken me several days to equate my sudden passion to read webcomics and only webcomics whilst online with new ambition to draw one. So a bunch of links:
Nice Hair - apparantly it's a piss take of some of Gaiman's stuff, and Gaiman actually reads it. I ust ike the way that the British characters are so very very British, not the American perception of the British.
Ordinary Outcasts - down due to bandwidth just now, but it's another demons and fairies type of comic, without being cliche. Worth noting I found both of these thanks to Sandra Delete linking them. Too many people on my friends list (a) don't know I exist or (b) technically don't exist themselves
Slackers - we like Yux. And the art.
My life in Blue - so pretty...
Scandal sheet - for once, i like this for the story more than the art. Generally I'm shallow, most of these I like the art over the story.
Frightmoore University - I misslinked this last time I put it up here, but I do like muchly.
Venus Envy - oh hte angst. I like the angst ^_^
... I've just realised that I dreamt about grayling. Not the characters, that actual comic. I dreamt about reading the comic. I hate having these mundane dreams. It all gets so confusing. i didn't even realise it was a dream until i read today's update.
