So, here I am again. Another day, anpther rant. Get used to excessively long introspective posts.

Saying that, today's has v little to do with me.

Something that occured to me yesterday: The Spice Girls weren't all that bad. *ducks* Okay, they were talentless, okay, they were manufactured, okay, they sold out. But the songs themselvesa weren't as bad as I remeber. The fact that I can still sing 90% of 90% of the songs, despite having not heard them for about five years, is testament to this. oh, the songs they released were unbearably 'pop'py, though appropriate for the time, but the ones on the albums that they didn't release were a much wider range of music. I admit, I have a love affair with the seventies and eighties, and their second album plays like the Bridget Jones soundtrack. Okay, there's only two songs on it I really like, and the lyrics can be a bit dodgy, but it really isn't that bad.

So why did the Spice Girls suddenly, after about three years of skysoaring fame, go from hot to not? They isolated their fanbases.
1-Adults didn't like the music.
2-Older teens didn't like the lack of talent and blatant manufactured look
3-Tweenies lost out because their parents didn't like the image, and above all the merchandise. Come on, who's going to buy a White and Pink Spice Girls Moped? The camera was pushing it, but a moped?

That's my theory, anyway. And no matter what I say in their defense, not even I will go so far as to put them on my 'likes' list.
