need advice

so i fed my laptop tea and now the keyboard doesn't work; i'm typing this on the on-screen keyboard (yay for touchscreens!). it's still in warranty, but that doesn't cover accidental damage. should i take it apart and try and clean it (or if cleaning doesn't help, buy and install a new keyboard) or should i take it to a computer shop? i took apart my old netbook, but that was secondhand and simpler. i'm less confident about this one.
