2/5/11 11:40 amSo, last sunday I dunked my hand in near-boiling water. It's been bandaged up since. I looked at the jug of water on the side, and thought about how I was about to do a stupid thing (balance a a lemon juicer on top) considering how clumsy I am, and I did it anyway. I've been bandaged up and on codiene since then.
I also walked into a door a couple of days ago.
This might explain why I don't get offended by condescending remarks very often. They're usually right :) Either that or I've banged my head on so many things I don't realise people are trying to upset me. You know. One or the other.
(I'm pretty hard to offend - I've had friends lie to my face, spread rumours behind my back, share my secrets and break promises to me, and I still consider them friends. You wanna annoy me, you tell me how I feel or that I'm offended by something. Or be self-centred. Spending two weeks talking no stop about your new boyfriend and six more weeks talking about your now ex boyrfiend when I'm trying to read/listen to a lecture/have a conversation with someone else/maybe have something of my own to talk about tends to wear out my patience pretty quickly. I'll forgive a lot if you ask me how my day is from time to time, or respect the fact that when I'm reading a book/watching a film/typing on my netbook I may not want to be interupted to hear the same anecdote you told me last week.)
