Has there been an explanation for the blackouts in York recently? That one lasted almost an hour. They seem to be hitting different bits of the city at different times, but nearly everyone I know has been affected at least once in the last week, and it's buggering up the traffic lights no end.

As much fun as it is to get the candles out, it's annoying having to reset the alarm clock every time. Especially when I can't help but wonder if the power will go out again over night, rendering the dull exercise moot.

We've got a burst water thingy on Nicholas Street too, which isn't great :( Apparently they're getting an engineer out to it tomorrow.
