20/10/08 09:50 pmSharks hunt inside the womb. They eat their siblings, and unfertalised eggs. That's an evolutionary tactic and a half.
I'd never realised just how fucking weird non-mammalian pregnancy was. C4 has a nice little documentary about conception to birth in four species: emperor penguin, parasitic wasp, kangeroo and lemon shark. Definitely worth watching.
I spent today making huge amounts of tea, and drinking quite a lot of it. Tea tasting at the museum. Lapsang Souchon is absolutely delicious (I made a pot of twelve cups and drank eight because there were no visitors), and I am much more tolerant of green tea than I was this morning. I've had enough tea for tonight, though.
