ETA: The news post says today. The reasoning makes sense, too. I'm hoping this is a real sign that they're not planning to go on another suspending spree any time soon. They've also made a reasonable compromise on the basic accounts thing.
I'm dithering about taking advantage of the sale. Even though I only bought myself another year recently, adding another 12 months on top for cheap while I can afford it seems like a quite good idea, though that does tie me to lj for another two years. I don't plan to leave lj in the next two years (I've stuck around these last two) but one never knows...
