i'm well, so i dont have to be chipper any more

the headache has been cured, but the doublevision is sticking around, an since i had something rare they want to observe me further (though there@s nothing else they can do). and, with the usual timing, its a weekend, which means i cant leave til monday at the earliest. i would really like to just go home and get a full night's sleep in a room on my own of the temperature of my choice. also, hospital is boring and other people are irrittating, even lovely people.

on the other hand, the headache /is/ gone, and i can stand up straight again, which is a novelty. just as well, because all the poking of my spine means i cant bend over now!
