If I were to say that I am not sensitive to light, or noise, that the pain is spread acrss my forehead (but about an inch back) rather than behind one eye, that I can sleep fairly easily, that I'm not nauseous, and that I'm only in serious pain when I sit or stand (lying, crawling and keeping my head very low all leave me fine/headachy) would other people begin to doubt I had a migraine? My mother is more of the opionion that I have a mild concussion, from jolting my coccyx so hard it sent a shock wave up my spinal fluid; at the time I felt winded, slightly asthma-y and a little dazed, but I didn't develop a headache until about thirty minutes later, after we'd gone from the cold outdoors to a warm pub.

And if it is a mild concussion, is it worth dragging myself over to the drop in centre, or will they tell me there's nothing more they can do other than prescribe me some anti-inflammatories? I have ibuprofen, but it's not really working (of course, it needs fat in my stomach to work, which is a bit awkward when I have neither food nor the ability to cook it: yesterday the only solids I had were Roses chocolates! Spending all day in bed does not work up an appetite.

I think you absolutely should go and see a doctor today. I'm due at the dentist in town at 12.30, so I could come over to yours in a little while and walk you there if you like. :)

I know nothing about migraine or concussion (except to suggest NHS Direct), but I'm sorry this horrible whatever-it-is is dragging on so long.

Sadly, I know nothing at all on this topic, but I hope you feel better soon!

I still have no phone credit, so again LJ comments replace text messages. Tomorrow morning is fine, what time?
Also, where exactly is your house?

they didn't have any appointments left at the doctors, and I've pretty much been asleep since then. I remember you saying you were busy this afternoon, so would the drop in centre tomorrow morning, about elevenish, be okay? I can be found at 205 Melrosegate, just past the post office on hte opposite side of the road (starting at the hull road end)

OK, 11-ish it is.
Do you mind giving me a call in the morning to remind me? Or a text will do.

For anyone checking up on Natalie's health: she's now in hospital, hopefully not for long. They're not entirely sure whether she's got a migraine or a concussion, but they are sure that being unable to eat or stand up without vomiting isn't right.
I've let her housemate know what's going on. I don't think mobile phones are allowed in hospitals, so it may be little use calling her to ask how she is.

We don't know each other, but we do have friends in common. When I saw on [livejournal.com profile] ultharkitty's journal that she went to see you and that your pain is ok if you don't sit or stand I grew empathic, and worried.

I'm definitely of the vote to go see the doctor, and I do hope the results come back as best as they can be considering the symptoms.
