My boots are still wet from the walk to work this morning, But they're no longer squelching, which is an improvement. I suspect they will stay wet until I get home an dput them in the airing cupboard, which means a whole day of cold wet feet for me. This is part of a great universal conspiracy that I am not appreciating (currently stacked against me: recent events, the weather, my subconscious, other people, a potential cold, hormones, not being emailed by certain people, and the realisation that the whole year is pretty much a dead loss so far, and with only two months to go probably isn't going to redeem itself).

Defiance! I defy! I shall enjoy my wet feet, and headache, and hormones, and work.

And the grey sky/orange tree combinations, which is one of the reasons I love autumn. Miserable is nice to look at, if not experience. And while yesterday was generally pretty poor, I did acheive something that's currently drying in the airing cupboard, and had an idea for certain peoples' Christmas presents.

Damn, I just remembered that I forgot about shopping yesterday. Are you free in a little while? I'll be heading out on foot to Sainsburys to buy things for a big cook-up (possibly also cock-up seeing as I'm going to be using coconut cream, but we'll see!).

I also had a wet foot. It was not fun.

I finish at 5, but I won't be back home til 5:30. Give me time to dry out and change, and I'll join you. If you set off from yours at 5:30 and come to mine, that should give me plenty of time! Where were you thinking of walking?
