Essay section

Does anyone know what language you have to use in a search to tell the engine you want something containing all of the words, not just 'at least one of'. JSTOR has lost it's nice little "must include all" function on its advanced serach, and AND just gets me "at least one of". Also, apparently no one (in JSTOR) has written about 'Assaulted and Pursued Chastity', which is deeply irritating.

you are lightgoldenrodyellow
#FAFAD2

Your dominant hues are red and green, so you're definately not afraid to get in and stir things up. You have no time for most people's concerns, you'd rather analyze with your head than be held back by some random "gut feeling".

Your saturation level is very low - you have better things to do than jump headfirst into every little project. You make sure your actions are going to really accomplish something before you start because you hate wasting energy making everyone else think you're working.

Your outlook on life is bright. You see good things in situations where others may not be able to, and it frustrates you to see them get down on everything.

Most of this is fairly accurate, considering I am a deeply contradictory person. I managed to select "positive", "negative", "optimistic" and "Pessimistic", and also "friendly" and "anti-social". All of which are true. I'm a short term optimist, long term pessimist. Everything's going to be great this year, I'm sure - I'll find a job, I'll get on with my housemates, I will be an adult and love it - but during my life time (next thrity years or so?) I fully expect global warming, peak oil, and maybe that super volcano under Yellowstone to kill most people and make life unbearble for the survivors. It's probably lucky I'm a live-for-the-moment person, right? ^_^ And I am an anti-social person; if I have the option or choice I will cheerfully avoid contact with other people. Usually, though, obligationwins out, and a general sense of guilt that I'm not doing what's best for myself. Once I'm with people, I enjoy their company and I am friendly.

My Day Section

Today has been pretty good. Spent an extra hour at the NT, trying to convince people to take a quick survey. It was really quiet anyway (being a lovely day) so in the cours eof two hours I only got 10 people. They'd been hoping for 17, so I hope someone took over when I gave up. It was 3PM, and I hadn't had lunch. Which ended up as rhubarb and ginger crumble; absolutely delicious (and something I've been wanting since I saw it on The Great British Menu), but not the bacon sandwich or baked potato type meal I'd been hoping for. Ended up hanging out at Anti-Grav with Toast until it closed, playing with various things (in conclusion: I'm not getting heelies). Came home, ate dinner, watched more of the Buffy video (s4) that I found in charity shop yesterday. Now, I attempt to finish essay. Well, not attempt. Now I will finish essay. And give it five or so days to settle while I do latin revision before I punch it into shape.

Putting a plus sign (+) in front of a word in a Boolean search string makes that word a "must include." If you want the words to appear as an exact phrase, use quotation marks.

It works! Thank you. It also reveals JSTOR has nothing of use, alas.
