minervasoloI am Teh Thick. I have managed, once again, to miss the speaker for this week. Internet went down, and I guessed it was at 3:30, but nope, 2:30. There's no point running over there now: by the time I get there it'll be past 3, and I doubt this'll last more than an hour, if it lasts that.
I was quite excited about the idea of field trips at the beginning of the term. I knew that most would be on Wednesdays, but I figured I could get to a few if I asked to leave five minutes early or so. And some were on Fridays, so I could go to those. There would be speakers from the BBC, and trips to publishers and bookshops. All sorts of cool things.
I made it to one field trip. Out of a whole term. And that was in the Uni library.
I am teh suck.
ETA even further suck: I'd left my laptop on with a half written story in the lj update thing. I ctrl-x'ed it to post this. I then ctrl-x'ed something in this post, and now it is all gone.
EAgainTA I went to the talk anyway. I was forty m,inutes late, but I was there for an hour. It was interesting.
