12/1/07 02:05 pmI think it's time to admit my brain has gone phut for today. It's not been hugely productive, either, but I've been headachey and black-on-white (and white-on-black) text isn't helping. I haven't written up the competition results, either, nor informed the winner. Laid up most of the mag; not done the images, and there's a few more things that could go in. I'm holding off, though, because (a) it's going to require a lot of rearranging and (b) it looks like 32 pages is going to be a comfortable amount, whereas 36 would be a considerably stretch. We're currently on 31, with the option of shortening a few things if something needs another page.
Capoeira was good. I got very nervous beforehand. It was quite an advance class, and it was £6 and two hours. Bit expensive to do a lot alas, and I worry that if I don't I'll never catch/keep up. More than half the class were wearing the 'right' t-shirts and trousers, and most were very good. Still fun, though, and they were very kind and friendly to us newbies. Weird to discover what I remember and what I don't, and what I was never actually taught. Bent knees important. The hodda was brilliant, loads of energy. I can see now why they make such a fuss about not having holes inhte circle, though; I could almost feel the energy leaking out when there were big gaps (and I'm really not the sort of person who thinks of energy in these sort of terms normally). My hands were glowing red with clapping by the end of it, and I 'played' twice. Fell on my arse, it was funny.
It's good I went with other people, because I'm far more likely to go back now. I love it while I am there, but I'm remembering why I stopped last time (money! time!).
Oh, sleepy. Not too stiff, but very tired. Rest of the day shall be spent cooking, I think.
