This is probably my first real post since before Christmas. As opposed to a quick status update.
So, for Christmas I got mostly clothes, plus a signed Gwyneth Herbert CD (my sister was her sister's friend), plus some jewellery, plus some other stuff. ::nods::
My Christmas money (all £25 of it) I intend to spend on DVDs, namely Rome, The new Eddie Izzard collection and Wallace and Gromit. I also intend to buy a new pair of trainers for sport, and probably some new tracksuit bottoms.
Which leads me to Resolutions. Obviously, get fit. Either find a Capoeira class to join, since it's the only martial art I've ever enjoyed and shown any aptitude for (i.e. it didn't make me throw up), or I shall get back to going swimming, maybe signing up for aquafit classes again. I am also eating more healthily, by which I mean "I only eat sweets and ckaes if they're offered to me, and am not allowed to purchase them myself". I just got given a stack of choclate, so this is working well ^_^ Of course, by more healthily, I mean more healithy than over Christmas, which I can achieve simply by ceasing to eat from time to time (as opposed to only stopping when asleep or in the shower). Finally, I resolve to have a proper skincare routine. Because I have terrible skin anyway, and it's not exactly taxing.
I have seen three films in the past month, actually quite a lot for me. Casino Royale, Eragon and The Holiday. I thought CR would be great, and it was. I thought Eragon would be crap, and it wasn't. And I thought the Holiday would be good, but not my type, and I enjoyed it immensely. You can see the sign for Piggies ^_^ Kate Winslet surprised me by being good and (mild spoiler) the old guy doesn't die! Eragon is full of very pretty people, including some actors I adore (Robert Carlyle!). Casino Royale had lots of chase scenes on foot, which I liked, and Daniel Craig reminds me a little of Toast.
Today, I am getting my eyes checked, ad possibly getting new glasses. This first requires a hunt round various shops for a reasonable pair (£50 or less) that I can have right now, or live with what I've got and order two (nice) pairs from Hong Kong for the same price or less.
