I had some interesting dreams last night, involving not being able to plug in my TV aerial because I was an outlaw (possibly because I was a mutant, or helped mutants, I can't remember), fleeing through a city, attempting to destroy something in the middle of a party and falling down a gorge and climbing along some nice wooden pathways, and deciding not to walk out of M&S without paying because their till system was a pig.

At ten to seven this morning, I was woken up by a boom. Or rather, a BOOM. toasty_renfield came downstairs to see if I was okay, figureing this was thunder. I'd guessed sonic boom, and the third alternative was station blowing up. It was pouring with rain, but it seemed weird for thunder because there was no before or after, though it did thunder more later.

Turns out it was thunder. AND the station blowing up.

Or close, anyway: Lightning hit the signal tower.

Looks like Boy Wonder and Dave (who's real name I really have to find out befoe she arrives) are going to have an interesting time getting here this evening.

How exciting! I love it when things blow up and cause disruption which doesn't affect me. How callous is that?!

Gosh, that's all very dramatic. Last December I was woken up by a huge bang, which was that fuel depot explosion you may remember. It's about eight miles from where I live.
