Chatsworth is huge and gorgeous and amazing (and expensive), and I must take my mother there with the awareness that a large potion of the day shall be spent wandering around the gardens. The painted ceilings! And it's not stuffed with "do not touch" signs and "do not photo" and the curtains are actually open.

I wish I had been a scout, or a brownie, or some such. The camps looked like amazing fun. It just never occurred to me that I'd enjoy something like that as a kid, which is a real shame. If I have kids, they're totally going to be scouts. I also enjoyed the campfire songs more than a persn my age probably should ^_^

Music live was cool, but wet and cold.I did want to see OCS, but the idea of sitting in the rain for another three hours after a certain point did not appeal. I sat in the rain for five hours. Most of the acts passed me by entirely, but there was one group with cool lyrics and another that had a guy with a voice I liked, though their music was very derivative. I had a very good cup of tea.

Today, I am mostly skipping latin, because I have not done it, because [livejournal.com profile] evildrjohnny skips every week and because blah, really. I shall be going to the film showing later, though. I did not get the reading done over the weekend that I would have liked to, and must renew many library books. I must also stick my nose into Ben Hur.
