Leeds was good. I am le tired, still. I spent maybe £60. First we went to the mroury Museum, but then it caught fire so we went and raided Forbidden Planet, lunch places, and Travelling Man (City Cyber anime wasn't open). I know have Flash:Rogues, Flash:Dead Heat, Robin:Unmasked, Trigun Maximum 5 and Fake 5. I wish I'd picked up Fake 6 too, but since I've once again blown my budget for the month I'll just have tyo struggle on without ^_^ i might scans some stuff for scans_daily later (Bernard!). Failed to make it to anime, but instead curled up with the new and shiny things and watched Deep Rising and some Billy Connelly.

This morning the train took Holly away again, and I have been utterly zoned since. The library has nothing of any use for my essays, and JSTOR's not doing much better, but I've finally worked out a theme. I shall argue that the same tale is being used by one author for romantic (and feminist, because, dammit, you can't to the Wife of Bath's Tale without that coming up) purposes while the other uses it for political nad patriotic purposes (and the pure True love between Gawain and Arthur). And the third is just a basic telling of the myth, and the other is set in another country entirely.

I have done no NaNo today, nor yesterday nor the day before, and I suspect it will not be until next monday that I'll get a chance to do much more. Damn you, assessed essay.

Shiny things.

Meh, I feel your pain. ATHENS decided that my account was expired (again), this weekend. *sigh*

Ouch. And there's the three day thing, isn't there? That really caught me out when i first signed up.

Normally I use LION, but that's all changed and now I need to reconfigure my browser so it believes it's part of the uni proxy to get in, which, frankly, I cannot be arsed with!

I'm getting nothing of use from JSTOR either. The closest it came for themes of delusion in "The Rivals" was how comedy was a lot more popular than tragedy in the 18th Century. Thanks, JSTOR.

I've heard many things about the end of the series, but this was the first time I've even seen five on sale. It looks like it's going to be another trip to Leeds before I get a chance to buy any more.
