I had a really great afternoon yesterday. The lecture was absolutely brilliant, done by a very dramatic medievalist from the history department. Absolutely no doodles on the notes I made, but there are a few marginal comments along teh lines of "history has the best lecturers :(" and "The minster is a spaceship". And I want to go and see the Corpus Christi plays next summer, because they sound brilliant.And a little subversive!

After the lecture I ended up talking to one of the girls from my seminar group. We were basically bitching about our tutor, though we wandered on to a variety of other subjects. We ended up talking outside costcutters for an hour and a half. She said she wanted to hook up outside of seminars, which left me so utterly chuffed. People don't say stuff like that to me very often. I don't mean that in a bad way, it's just I don't often see people out of context, as it were, and itusually a very gradual thing, friendship. So I'm well pleased! ^_^

Made me very late getting back, alas, and I hadn't realised people were waiting for me, but dinner was very good in the end. Turns out the pilot episode of House had the sort of colour palette that would put people off a lesser show. Mike walked in and asked if it was a dream sequence!

Anyway, today. Tidying room, haircut, some more NaNo. Because I'm barely than a thousand words further than I was this time lst week.

History does not I repeat not have the best lecturers, more than half read directly from the sheets they hand out.

They obviously send their best to other departments to give off good impressions. Sneaky historians!

Historians are sneaky and numerous, I've always thought we were akin to rats, you're never more than 5ft away and all that :P
