Anime last night. What is it about anime that prompts me into loner mode? I know people there, I like people there, but for some reason I always gravitate towards the back of the room, and sit quietly. Maybe turning up on time would help. I'll have to make an effort (to be sociable) next week.

GiS:SAC is brilliant. Very slick, with great characterisation and the cutest little blue spider robots. Set before the film, it's kinda like a future set cop show. Only problem is the major's too top heavy - very broad shoulders and huge boobs, which make her look kind of butch in a 'my spine is about snap' way. Fruits Basket is as cute and sweet as always, but I'm still reserving judgement on FMA. It's well animated, and plotted, and so on, but I still can't quite see what all the fuss is about. The characterisation sometimes seems a little sideways (I'm thinking mostly of Al here) and it's very slow going. I'm hoping I'll 'get it' after a few more episodes, but I think it's mostly my reaction to all the hype.

Monday is my full day. I have to decide whether to take my Latin to campus and translate it in the hour's gap I have, or come home for a quick cup of tea and some warmth before running back again. If I want to go swimming tomorrow, I need to do the latin today. It's not hard, just a little time consuming.

I think I've seen some of those Alphabet pictures before - the one of Cthulu still disturbs me... mostly because of teh way he's pointing his bottom suggestively at us, and looking back over his shoulder all coquettish - eek!

Someone describes him as posing in Plaything in the comments, which seems fairly accurate. But then, he is meant to be disturbing...

Just come and play at anime. The great thing about the society is that you can act like a loon and people will still love you for simply loving anime. :D

It's both OK to be a loner and to be silly and mad at anime. I'm naturally a loner and anime is one of the few places I come out of my shell a little (without being in cosplay).

And the picture of Cthulu disturbs me as well.
