Feeling better this morning. Not well, but better. I might actually be able to speak in my voice today, instead of that very strange one I had yesterday.

For some reason, Yor:Mag has chosen to illustrate their little blurb about DougSoc with what appeares to be the Onion Cricket onion. There were a lot of committee members about, true, but it wasn't anything to do with dougsoc and I'm wondering why they didn't go with the dalek, or someone Douglas Admasy.

I have no idea about that, I didn't even send them that photo; I sent them a couple of brilliant ones including the Dalek and the whole society group shot. But instead of using one of those high-res ones, they chose to find our MSN site and download a completely different, mostly irrelevant, low-res photo.

I... I just don't know.

Basically Tom, its a bunch of bigots with no real life wanting show those of us who aren't embarassed by having funin what they deem to be a negative light.

That's a bit negative! I mean, I doubt any of them are ever going to sign up, but knowing them it probaby came down to 'ohshit not enough space, not enough time'. It's an onion and some hands. It's neither negative nor positive.

Forgive me for having little faith in the ignorant. It cannot be said that the text had strong bearing on what we do. Maybe they were doing their best with little time - but if that is the case why did they not plan better. The text had an undercurrent of negativity and whilst from our personal standpoint the picture was not negative but it equally gives no real representation of the true nature of our activities.
