Still sick, but I have real lemsip now, which is helping me sleep. I spent most of this morning napping, though in between bouts I did finally get the Canterbury Tales finished. Toast is making me soup, which is very much appreciated. I suspect rest of today shall be more sleep, with occasional attempts towards Gawain and his Knight, though at the moment reading it leaves me with 'pretty noises' but no idea what's actually being said.

Must print essays. And do latin. And blargh.

Poor ill you :( I hope you feel better soon. You'll egt the hang of Middle English after a while. With Gawain I've heard it helps if you read it in a midlands accent as it's got a strong dialect thing going (a similar thing was true for a Suffolk will i had to read, in a Suffolk accent it all made sense).

Thanks for the well wishes. I think the problem I'm having with Gawain is it lacks all the little translatey notes Chaucer had, and since it's in a different dialect there's some words I really don't know. It all sounds great, but means nothing, though right now it'd probably be the same even inmodern english.
