Apparently I "no buyer of prestige". Which basically means I told the guy nowith regards to the iPod. I did, however, get the Creative Player, which wasn't entirely intentional (I bid three hours ago, and was kind of expecting someone else to have a go after me, but oh well), but well received. It's a lot cheaper, I already have the software, and I know how to work it and what it does (and it's 20G, which isn't half bad at all!). Admittedly, I still have my old one, currently down the side of the bed. I killed it by dropping it about six months ago. If I find a way to get it fixed cheaply, I'll sell it secondhand, along with the software I'll get with this one.

£70 for 20gig of music. Not bad at all.

Is that the Creative Zen Touch? That's the one hubby is getting me for my birthday.....

N, it's one of their older ones - Creative Nomad. It's quite large (about the same size as a portable CD player), but it's got a large memory and a very good navigation system. I was looking at the Zen's earlier - they're newer, smaller and shiner, and actually available on Creative's website, unlike the Nomad!

Creative are definitely the best alternative to iPod. Cheaper, because they're not a hugely famous name, but just as much space and (as far as I know) easier to use. The one I've got is this large bulky thing, but it's not as though I'm going jogging with it or anything!
