20/5/05 03:58 pmNote to self: 'Wollstonecraft would be having fits' is not suitable phrasing for an essay.
But oh how I wish it was. I also wish I could think of a more essay-ish way of putting it. I've got into the feminist theory part of the essay now, having written a hundred words this morning, played cards for three hours, had lunch, messed about online, and now gone back to it out of guilt. I was worrying earlier about not reaching the word count, but now it looks like once again I'll go over. The focus has become much sharper than I intended as well, since there's just no space to discuss all of the character parallels.
Anyway, tis almost done. Sort of.
Here's a curious thing: I've been a Star Wars fan for a long time. I'm probably a far more devoted fan than most people on my FList (excluding certain notables ^_^ ). And yet, some how, this whole film thing? Haven't got there yet. May not get there at all. And I'm still more excited about the new book later in the year.
So, Wednesday, anyone? Seeing as that seems to be the nearest available oppurtunity (tonight - writers, saturday - dougsoc eurovision things, sunday - essay/anime, monday - essay/ writers soc, tuesday - Toast). I don't know if there'll be anyone left at that point who hasn't seen it, or who wouldn't be adverse to seeing it again, perhaps.
In the mean time, keep refreshing lj in the hope of more stuff to read essay.

Anybody for Team America on Friday. They're predicting a double sell out so I thought I'd get tickets early.

Mike sent me a list of times. 6:10 sound all right? I figure we don't want a really late showing, since we'll get out just as the pubs close, but it always feels more right to go to the cinema in the evening.
