Ah, the joy of the Student Loan pack. Can't do it online, since my password is in Surrey. Can't do it on paper, since my parent is in Surrey. I foresee many phonecalls and a high probability of posting the damn thing back and forth. In fact, I may just fill in what I can and give one warning phonecall before I post it, rather than many phonecalls to fill in stuff I don't know (like where Harry was born) only to post it to them.

And I was doing so well.

Heh.

It's the closest I've got to proactive today. Damn SpiderSolitare.

Casanova was, as always, brilliant last night. That guy will make a good doctor. Very cheeky. The National Lottery thing was played a bit too heavy handed, for my liking. Makes the target audience much smaller, since you need to know all the different English National Lottery slogan of the past few years (most particularly the older ones) to get any of the jokes in that sequence.

Toast got me more Trigun Maximum ^_^ I know I ought to do some reading today, and it looks far more tempting than poor Evelina.

The builders are still loud. They started pile-driving at 7:30 this morning. I was half asleep, and thought someone was knocking really loudly on a door. And making buzzing noises. And beeping occasionally.

Yes, we love the builders. They also tested the firealarm this morning. We love fire alarms too. And noisy people in the room next door. And all the visitors wandering around, making me feel very strange about doing my laundry.

Visitors are odd.

Yeah, there's all these random people wandering around Alcuin; some of them are even wearing suits. Weird. The ducks will protect us.

Oh and work ethic/Trigun related issues are not my fault...I swear they jumped into my hand and wouldn't let go.

I've been lucky the last couple of days, being up before the builders arrived. Also, I've noticed the absence of that big yellow truck that truddled up and down Alcuin way, seeming to do little more than get the road wet, make loud noise and belch out black smoke.

Also: student loan forms - work of the devil. I feared them, which usual led to me filling them in a few weekd before term started and not getting my loan through until Christmas. I was (and am) a fool. All hail the glory of NHS burseries I say.

Oh my god Evelina is HARD GOING. I started it on the train on the way home tonight and I was just like, "wow, Fanny Burney is very in love with long words. I am going to read this when I am not knackered and thus might be able to make sense of it." I anticipate a really shite essay being written about it, somehow.

A Hero Of Our Time is pretty good though! Fatalistic Russian officer, and lots of adventure and duels and swooning women and stuff. I finished it today. :D

Ooh, now I want to read Hero and put off Evelina even longer. Just a pity Evelina is first on the course, and Hero last.
