18/3/05 06:21 pmRadiopen! Radiopen!
There's only going to be a few of us at yorkwriters tonight, by the looks of it. Oh well. ^_^
Builders outside my window set a new record today, waking me up at 7:15. This is going to continue until I move out. I'm going to go slowly mad. Still can't leave the window open, either. Ugh! So, of course, I've asked mum to bring up an alarm clock. Spoke to her earlier, confirming that no, Toast isn't vegetarian, and yes, it will be far cheaper to get stuff up here than buy it back home and bring it up. And yes, we have finally got the tickets (she agrees £39 is cheap). We actually managed to get quite a lot done in town. Must Have IT is closing down, which is why I now own a radio-pen (which I will continue to be deeply fascinated and amused by for a long period to come) and some fridge poetry, though I don't intend to put it on the fridge here. Also bought Ferrero Rocher (too many Rs!) for the flat, but was very good and didn't have a chocolate doughnut or anything. Did buy a litre of smoothie, half of which I drank on the way home, the other half I necked after Toast left. Label says there's two portions of fruit in 250ml, which I read before I drank it and thought 'Ooh, that's 8 in the whole bottle, perhaps I should drink half tomor... oh, all gone'. I've also had about 7 times my reccomended daily amount of vitamin C in that, though I'm pretty certain C is one of the ones you can't overdose on.
I'm all hopped up on fruit sugars now ^_^ I'll go keep reading (and nitpicking) Pompeii and playing with radiopen and maybe eating at some point. And also being overjoyed that there is now a Python Musical. How much do we want to see that?
