On the topic of quizzes, a favour to ask?

(a) LJ-cut them, especially if the images are large or you doing several. Information here

(b) If you do several quizes, keep them in the same post. I'm not alone in having a fair few people on my FList, and I want to read all of their entries. Having to scroll past an entire page of Quizzes, which I'm not interested in, does not help me. If you've posted once, and want to add more quizzes, modify the post. It's right up there under 'Manage'. I don't care what random stranger on the internet's quiz claims to know about you, I want to know about you. See?

Honestly, I can't remember. There's only one or two people who do spring to my mind, and I suspect it really is not knowing how to do lj-cut that's the problem, rather than inconsiderateness. I've just picked up a lot of new-to-lj people recently (maybe because I introduced them to it...) and hoped I could be vaguely helpful.

That was intentional. Mostly to attract attention to the post, partly because I didn't think the quiz was big enough to stretch out anyone's Friends page (apologies if it does) and I have no objection to the occasional single quiz. Though it has just occured to me this quiz might not be considered work safe...

I think I've come off more snarky and irritated in the pot than I actually am. It's just something prompted by a discussion last night and the fact that a few weeks ago I really did have to scroll past an entire page of quizzes because two or three entirely unconnected people had all decided to do multiple quizzes, each in a seperate post, all uncut. I'm just aware that several people on my FList don't know how to lj-cut, so I thought I'd point to the link.

Ah. My head saw that and went, "hypocricy, YAY!" I didn't even look at the quiz.

I formatted my friendspage so that if something stretches out an entry, it doesn't affect any of the other entries on the page. I got SO sick of having to scroll back and forth that I changed my layout. I tend to just ignore the quiz posts, anyway, unless I see real text underneath.

...it amazes me that some people don't know the basics of things. Like functions in a program they're using, or basic codes for journals and text. I have a friend who didn't know how to make things bold, for chrissakes. *boggle*
