Yeah, I'm spamming today. I'll probably go for a walk in a bit and leave you all in piece.

Just finished Vilette, by Charlotte Bronte. Absolutely gorgeous book. Very calm, measured pace. Relationships build in their own time, and since the relationships and characters are the point of the book there's no plot to rush things along. I adored the ending, and I really really want to go back to Brussels now. Just on my own, just to wander round. Round and round and round. It was so gorgeous last autumn, with the outdoor cafes surrounded by turning trees and all the tiny cobbled streets and huge gilded buildings. I recognised so much of it in Vilette, and it has to be one of my favourite cities I've ever visited. I'm going to have to email home for some photographs, or something.

And isn't it a gorgeous day today, as well? Windy, but it always is here. The world is so pretty!

Okay, went for my walk... into town. That wouldn't have been so bad, except there was a continental market. I almost resisted, but then there was a dutch toffee waffle stall run by a guy called Jeroen, and I couldn't help myself (though only some people in my FList will understand why). I also ended up buying French strawberries and Bretagne biscuits, though I resisted the belgian chocolates. After all, they'll still be there on Sunday. Then I bought comics and sat in the dusk outside the Minster and read them and ate biscuits. I never made it to the river, as planned, but it was absolutely brilliant anyway. I'm so utterly in love with York. Almost us much as Brussels ^_^ There are so many pretty places.

So now I'll have tea and biscuits and strawberries and waffles for dinner.

I just hope you were very very careful about what was in the waffle. I don't think our Jeroen is above Cannabis cookies and other fun items (not if baby Jenny's around of course).
