Been having some very strange dreams yesterday. The other night I dreamt I bought Absolute Authority vol3, which would cover about eight comics that haven't actually come out. I read it in a very strange lecture, and the Doctor fell asleep in a tureen of soup. I vaguely remember there being some sensible possible plot direction, but the soup stuck with me!

And then there was last night's dream. It makes a sort of logical sense, chronologically. But in no other way!

It began with packing to come back to uni. I remember thinking about the shampoo and conditioner I got for christmas, and reminding myself to pack the black polo neck jumper I was forced to leave behind when I came here on the train. So far, so sensile.

Then... we came back on a coach. Using train tickets. Someone behind me (Georgia, I think, who I knew from junior school) had realised she and four other people had no tickets. I wasn't sure if they were asking for money or my student rail card. I panicked a little, and thought I might have left all my tickets at home, since I didn't remember buying any (a result of the dream skipping that bit, I guess), but it was okay, and the ticket collector didn't even ask them for tickets. We then talked a bit, and people seemed to think I was very religious (it was connected to the conversation, though I don't remember the rest of it). I said it had been a few generations since my family were religious, but one of my grandparents might have been a minister. Ohm (who I haven't actually seen since I was eleven, being another junior school person) offered to show me her mosque (I think it was) and the (Sihk?) temple of the Indian girl behind her, who looked a lot like Kareena but was, I think, Frida (both senior school people I haven't seen for several years). I was very very happy about this.

We stopped at a stone henge ('a' not 'the') for lunch and toilete break. It wa a gorgeous place. The road was in a dip, though where the henge was we were almost on a level. To the right were usual tourist place type things, to the left was a bunch of artfully arragned rocks. We were still in our coach while the coach in front emptied.

That coach, which was not tehcnically a coach at all, was attached by a very long wire to a jeep which pulled it along. The driver of the jeep drove off for no apparent reason while a girl called Sophie was still in it. She screamed a lot as the coach was slammed into embankments around the road, thanks to the length of wire being so long the coach swung out at every bend. Except... the driver wasn't in the jeep, he was with us having lunch. He'd left the jeep running, or something, though how it managed to stick to the road while the coach didn't I can't explain. He was talking with the teachers about two things they'd been asked to do. I can't remember the first, but the second was to bring a videocamera and film this large grey dog, who always stared in their friends's films. The dog came lolloping back from the coach, and people reaslised it had disappeared. Sophie followed soon after. We all refused to get in either coach as long as that driver was driving.

I wandered off and found a very steep shingle slope, leading down to the sea, visible between four huge arches of rock. In fact, the sea came up to the rock in most places, and not past but still higher than the ground in others (like the water at an aquarium, except minus the glass). I was [livejournal.com profile] apiphile and I talked to what I presume was a deep one. I jumped in a few times, and we chatted and rolled around in the water. I got very wet, but didn't care. There was a fairytale about a girl and a boy the deep one knew (had been involved in?) and since they were on the coach I took him to meet them. Only he kept drying out, so we had to keep ducking abck into the water. I think the coach driver wasn't too impressed with my bringing him on, or there was some other controvesy, but it worked out okay. After we'd chatted to them on the coach we went back down to the sea, to the leftmost arch. There was a ledge of rock, and then some very seaweedy water. For some unknown reason, I chose to throw him in. He was especially light. I worried he'd got caught in sea weed, but I think it was okay.

Then I was at uni, and reading an email Rune had sent about writing a fic together. She was saying things like "each line must stand on it's own and the next must follow it automatically" and "here's a really bad fic that gives an example of this." We had to draft the whole fic, because she'd lost an email I'd sent her. I had a very important writing soc thing to get to at 7. [livejournal.com profile] almighty_frog received an email wanting to see her line drawings for class, but she hadn't done them yet. I worried about missing my very important meeting, which might possibly have clashed with an educaitonal meeting, but [livejournal.com profile] da_roz said not to worry, that's why this uni was so great, it was really flexible.

So yeah, weird dream. Have since gone out and got food, but forgot bread. I want to run down to costcutters, but I have a problem. I've lost my key. I had to ask the cleaner earlier not to lock my room, otherwise I'd be in real trouble.

Irritating thing is, it's got to be in here. I wouldn't have been able to get in last night otherwise. It's just not where it usually ends up. I've cleared the whole desk, and the bed, and the floor. Checked bag, checked inside books and paper and comics et al. I need it to get in after my seminar this afternoon, I need it to get into the laundry, i need it to get back in if I go to Doug Soc tonight. Without it I'm not going anywhere.

When you're a sentient slice of Toast your Doctor lying prone in a bowl of minestrone suddenly isn't such a silly concept!
