I;'m currently doing a very good job of feeling bad about keeing Katie up last night. There is a touch of irony there, since previously it's been her keeping me up, but considering she was still awake at 2 as a result of us (I could hear her moving) I think I forfeit. I think that perhaps next week once we past midnight we decamp to the kitchen. We can always take the laptop in there too.

I'm going to have to go play with filters on here now. Either that or find new stuff to distract me. I do have to do laundry and ring bank and buy milk today, but those activites in theirselves are not going to take long. Question is, can I turn brain off long enough to read?

What was weird was long after in bed (with water bottle) someone knocked on a door. I'm not sure if it was mine or Katie's or Min's, but it was quite loud, especially for roughly 3AM. Didn't hear anyone coming in the main door, either, so it must have been someone in the flat. It doesn't help that it was cold last night. I resorted to water bottle. I blame cold for keeping me awake, not 'dear god, brain, just shut up'. Bad brain.

My brain has difficulty shutting up too...

It's cold here in Italy too. When I curl up in bed at night, I tuck my nose under the covers to stop it from freezing off. Then I lie in bed for at least an hour before falling asleep.

Silly brain.

I almost made hot chocolate, but then I remembered that it was even colder outside of the bed, though when I got out to do the hot water bottle it wasn't actually that bad. But cold and noisy brains can definitely keep you awake, no matter how tired you are.

Especially cold. My feet always are frozen when I get into bed.
