Random art. Or, less random. This character's been niggling about inside my head for a few days now, and I'm quite pleased with how the sketch came out. Photoshopping is my usual slightly bungled but well-meaning attempt.

(and the original)

And the whys and wherefores?

Name: Freefall (real name undecided)
Age: early to mid teens
Power: Can jump into another dimension when going at a certain speed. Primarily instinctive as to where appears. Easiest way to obtain this speed is, unsuprisingly enough, freefall.
Occupation: Relocator
Family: mother unknown. father deceased.
Current guardians: secret subsection of British military
History: Father was a paratrooper. Daughter inherited love of parachuting, and first discovered her talent on one such jump. Told father, who mentioned it to colleagues (whether he believed her was questionable). After his untimely death in the field Freefall was taken into what she was told was a military orphanage (known most often as 'The Branch'). They trained her and explored her talents, culminating in asking her to fetch something from another dimension. She brought a cure for cancer, which never seemed to make it into the hospitals. She was trained as a 'relocator' (AKA thief) and used to fetch items from other universes that either didn't exist in hers or could be more easily obtained in others.
Personal: She trusts The Branch implicitly, and doesn't care that her actions may not be deemed entirely ethical, especially by those she takes from. Tends towards the arrogant, and highly manipulative. Her declared role model is the Artful Dodger.
Outfit:Varies, but usually conforms to same basic pattern of large trousers, crop top, flight jacket (not shown), goggles and parachute. Goggles and 'chute worn almsot constantly, even in universes where highly innapropriate. Various pockets and holsters of her own design strapped to legs beneath trousers for hiding items.

I'd quite like to write/draw something with her in. Quite like anti-heroes, which she rather is. If Indiana Jones was a twenty-first century teen with attitude problems... Of course, I don't have the patience or the talent to draw a full comic, which presents a slight problem. Possible just a few fics with illustrations, for now. Anyway, thoughts?

I may be posting another pic soon, drawn over the holidays, but as yet there is no skin colour.
