Mike said to ring him if we moved on anywhere last night. Woke up this morning to find four missed calls on my phone... Ooops. I feel really bad, because we were only in my kitchen. I left the phone in the bedroom. I definitely owe him a large glass of hot punch. I also said I'd go to his messiah thing tonight, but I've no idea where it is!

I can't believe I wasn't shattered at work today, though, not after hanging out till half midnight and then failing to sleep because I was worried the alarm hadn't set properly (which is hadn't, but I was awake then anyway with the worrying). Rachel watched me down a mug of tea and said "It's not a pint of lager, Natalie", which was funny the fist time but turned into the running joke of the day. Funny sometimes, actually, but a bit tiring. Apparantly I'm getting mroe confident at work though ^_^

Strictly Ballroom is very addictive, if you ignore everything but the dancing. The judges try so hard to be the PopStars judges, the audience try so hard to hate them... But we have Julian Clary in top hat and tails. Bruce Forsyth's humour is very flat, though.

I'm still having name issues. Maybe two out of every three names I try to remember I can't. Bruce Forsyth took far too many attempts. Every name seems to be replaced with "I'm Brian Blessed" or "Huge Ackman". Thank you, Chris, thank you. Brian Blessed as Bond is not going to go away for a looong time.

If I don't go to Messiah (which is mentioned on none of the Uni websites) then I'm in for a dull evening...

Messiah is a uni choir thing - it might be in Central Hall or the Jack thingummy concert hall in the music department?

Am trying to work out if your Mike is one of the Mikes I know from glee or not - can't think of any distinguishing characteristics of either of them though! Do you know if he sings bass or tenor?

From what he said I thought he was playing the tuba and it was an orchestra thing. Haven't heard him sing.

Hmm...I think it might be one of the Mikes I know. Is he a 4th year?

Messiah is in Central Hall (it's on the music dept website) but it started half an hour ago and tickets were like £8 for the cheapest seats.

You'd think they'd put more up about it on the main website or teh YUSU one, wouldn't you? I didn't even manage to find the Music Dept website, and the Orchestra one was way out of date.

The Mike I know is a first year, from my seminar group. Guess I'll just have to owe him an apology (another one) next time I see him.

Not my Mike then! I wonder who it is I know who plays the tuba then; they all seem to play instruments but you'd think a tuba player would stand out. Maybe it's Chris.

Advertising for stuff seems to be rather bad here in general - maybe they assume the only people who'd want to go know the people who are involved and are being dragged along to see it?

They do keep complaining about events being under attended and a desire to reduce the amount. You'd think a little advertising wouldn't be going too far.
