11/11/04 03:58 pmI typed 'fist' into google images. I can't believe I was surprised at what appeared.
I'm once again proving my dismal photoshop skills to myself. I know how I wat it to look, and that's not at all how it does look. I was thinking some sky/fire background to fit "On what wings dare he aspire/What the hand dare seize the fire." What I've got I don't think I'll even save. It's better without the hands, but still...
Going to see Alien vs Predator tonight, hopefully. Kind of lazy about emailing the soc back until this morning, so I don't know if they're expecting me or not. Still, if I turn up on time it should all be okay.
Anyway, ideas for names for new website. This will interest
almighty_frog only, methinks.
Familiar Artifice
Mimesis
Fractured Duality
Ecletic tones (or something)
Personal Predictabilities
The advantages of doing English! Lots of pretty words... Any of those could be swapped around too, so there's also:
Eclectic Artifice
Fractured Tones (sounds more like a music site...)
And so on.
I'm now reaching a point where I'm pretty certain there's a firewall stopping me using FTP. There's an error coming up and that's all I can think it must be now. Bit of a bugger, really. If there's anyone who can get around firewalls to upload stuff about, I may be asking favours along the lines of 'here's a bunch of huge files, here's a password, would you do this for me when you've got a spare minute?' Stupid thing says you can access off-campus FTP servers, but I suspect it's blocking the FTP programs. I'll email. I won't get a reply until tomorrow at the earliest, but it's worth finding out. The FAQ says I can access off campus FTP servers, so I would have thought... Guh, who knows?
"COMING SOON!
The Webmail Service will be upgraded on Monday 15th November to feature greater resilience and a snazzy new colour theme/icon set"
It's so strange what the university focuses it's attentions on.

I vote for the title "Dynastically Amalgamated" just because I think it is a funny phrase. :-P
