minervasoloLoving the whole student thing. Slept til 11 this morning, then spent an hour online. I have a supervisor meeting at 2:30, and that's it for today. I'll probably experiment with laundry this afternoon.
Party last night in E block. They are definitely the party people. It was basically a fuck fresh party, or rather a stand around in the kitchen sounding like Blind Date contestents party ("Hi, I'm x from y, and I'm studying z!"). Met A bunch of people from James, which is way over the other side of the Uni, so how they knew it was happening I don't know. Matt, Julian and a guy who's name I can't remember. Also met a James and a Paul from Alcuin. Paul looks like such a shy sweetheart. He's all dressed up in proper shirts and knitted jumpers and he has amazing cheekbones but unfortunate eyebrows. Anyway, at about two o'clock in teh morning I followed the James people back to therre college, just to see what it was like. About teh same as ours, though you could definitely tell that theirs was a lads flat. Random conversation, and then walking back home alone at 2:30. It's unnerving, but no more than walking anywhere alone at night. It doesn't feel terribly dangerous or anything, thouogh everyone seems convinced it is.
I'm spending so much time not doing anything. In an effort to get away from the computer today, I bought apples. It took about fifteen minutes, so now I'm back online. Finished Tess of the D'Urbervilles this morning, so I'm moving onto Mrs Dalloway in a hope to get some of it down before we start it in class. It's going to be strange when we actually have work to do. I've got an eight hour timetable, wiith wednesdays completely free, so I really ought to look into getting a job. Rather want to put it off til next term though, except I hear everyone's doing that, so I could end up stuffed. Definitely want somewhere in town, rather than anywhere I have to catch a bus to. Have to hope mum posts my bank stuff up son, because I really need to start sorting out online transfers and everything. Stupid natWest sending stupid PIN numbers there after I've left ::pouts::
