a MMWP picture - uh... it's pretty. I have it in my favourites list. Really don't know why now. Couldn't even tell you who it's by. But it's on Chamberofkeys, which has many other nice pictures. Told you the fanart for HP was better than the fics.
HP Lexicon - more canon stuff. You can tell I have half these links because I write HP fics, not read, can't you?
Sugar Quill - like fictionalley, but only takes certain pairings. I only joined because I wanted a new way of staying in touchwith an old friend, but she never replied to my PM :(

The Chronicles of Lucius - the one I was telling you about. Lucius Malfoy a la Bridget Jones
Draco Dormiens - the first of the Draco Trilogy. Well written, but oddly characterised. Worth reading just to know what people are wanking about.

Draco Malfoy, the Amazing Bouncing... Rat - you know, i could simply rec every HP fic I've read here, and it'd still be a short list.
Rowan's HP rec list - there's some abslutely gorgeous stuff on here, especially "How to disappear Completely" which is sad and beautiful and a bit scary. I love what Rowan writes, so I suppose it stands to reason that I love what she reads. Oh, on that note...

Bitchy woman at work today. Rach and I were standing behind the counter chatting, since no one was in hte shop, and she came up and asked if there was a Principles in the store. Rach said she thought there was one on hte next floor. The woman said she didn't want to walk all the way up there if it wasn't there (we're right next to the bloody lifts for heavens sake). I suppose that would have been reasonable if it wasn't for the tone of voice. I hadn't heard what she asked originally (I thought it was something like pregnancy) but I pointed out the concessions don't really know each other that well. She said she was well aware of that, she was branch manager.

Does it not strike you that Branch manager ought to know where Principles is?

The really nice girl from Morgan/Topshop came over and said it was on the next floor, which I had actually known, but as Rach pointed out afterwards we'd heard something about one of the concessions closing, which was why she'd said she wasn't certain. The bitchy woman left looking very smug. I really hope she isn't our branch manager. The woman behind her laughed after she'd gone and told us no one was up there anyway.

Half the concessions didn't seem to be manned today, severalclosed their fitting rooms and rach decided to take her break at 4:30 so there's going to be no one there for the last half hour. Till was locked all day anyway, so it's not as though we have to cash up. Got to sort out uniform today. Jeans and a blazer or a v-neck cardigan thing. Definitely going for blazer, and a really nice pair of dark jeans. Together cost £55, with uniform discount about £13. Woo!

Have joined another HP fic exchange. COnsidering the stress of the other one... Oh well, it clashes nicely with driving test and uni joining. I'm sure they'll love me for rushing it all. And I'm going to update Femmedelalune tomorrow. Promise. Even though I'm working again without warning.

Oh, must work out how much I'm owed at some point. Turns out no one was paid at the end of July. I've got to be due around £300 by now.

Something I meant to mention earlier:

So, on my way out last night, getting a lift of mum because I wanted to drink (and I'm not taking my test til just under a month away), and I find I've got a missed call from a local number I don't recognise. Then I get a call from home.

My sister's at the police station.

She's fine, but one of her mate's got beaten up. Not Jess, who I thought it might be (homeless crazy guy who considers himself Queen of the Fairies and refuses to believe in gender), but one of her 'normal' mates. I don't think I can add much more than that, because the police want it taken to court, since the guys who did the beating are only a few months out of prison.

Anyway, all a bit amusing and a bit frightning, for reasons I again am not sure I can actually write. By the time I find out whether it is going to court or not, and researched what I can and can't say about it, I'll have forgotten anyway. But Clo might be a witness, which is all very exciting.



Also:

Bath. Bathbathbathbathbath.

I was running one earlier and suddenly realised that I hadn't had a bath in over a fortnight. God I missed it. And extra plus, hair dye stayed on head, rather than dyeing the water. Woo. My tan is scaring me now, because on holiday i just thought it was the lights on hte boat, and now I realise that I am this brown and I have never been this brown in my entire life. And really, it's not all that brown, but it's really really dark for me. And the tan lines are just weird.
