minervasoloBitchy woman at work today. Rach and I were standing behind the counter chatting, since no one was in hte shop, and she came up and asked if there was a Principles in the store. Rach said she thought there was one on hte next floor. The woman said she didn't want to walk all the way up there if it wasn't there (we're right next to the bloody lifts for heavens sake). I suppose that would have been reasonable if it wasn't for the tone of voice. I hadn't heard what she asked originally (I thought it was something like pregnancy) but I pointed out the concessions don't really know each other that well. She said she was well aware of that, she was branch manager.
Does it not strike you that Branch manager ought to know where Principles is?
The really nice girl from Morgan/Topshop came over and said it was on the next floor, which I had actually known, but as Rach pointed out afterwards we'd heard something about one of the concessions closing, which was why she'd said she wasn't certain. The bitchy woman left looking very smug. I really hope she isn't our branch manager. The woman behind her laughed after she'd gone and told us no one was up there anyway.
Half the concessions didn't seem to be manned today, severalclosed their fitting rooms and rach decided to take her break at 4:30 so there's going to be no one there for the last half hour. Till was locked all day anyway, so it's not as though we have to cash up. Got to sort out uniform today. Jeans and a blazer or a v-neck cardigan thing. Definitely going for blazer, and a really nice pair of dark jeans. Together cost £55, with uniform discount about £13. Woo!
Have joined another HP fic exchange. COnsidering the stress of the other one... Oh well, it clashes nicely with driving test and uni joining. I'm sure they'll love me for rushing it all. And I'm going to update Femmedelalune tomorrow. Promise. Even though I'm working again without warning.
Oh, must work out how much I'm owed at some point. Turns out no one was paid at the end of July. I've got to be due around £300 by now.
