All around me is sea. Sea as far as the eye can see. Woo.
So, yesterday we were in the Azores, tomorrow we'll be in the Canaries. Cruising rules. Except for teh £15 for half hour internet access. I don't think I'll be checking my emails again for a bit. And I'm not even reading my FList.
We've been up volcanoes, which is cool, and I absolutely must return to Faial some day, because it has teh best pool ever. Down in this litle cove, right by the sea, there's a tiny paddling pool, a pool which is linked to the sea by a tunnel (and full of fish!) a roped off bit of sea and, best of all, a cove with a floating trampoline! For some reason I am convinced Portugese will be the easiest thing in the world to learn.
So, the cruise itself. Five course meal every evening. Two pools and a lot of sun loungers. Lots of posh food everywhere, which I'm getting really really tired of, free theatre and cinema and jazz bars, and lots and lots of cocktails. I seem to be tired a lot too, possibly because the food I'm eating isn't waht I'm meant to. Comes of five course meals every night. God so tired of fancy food, and I've got over a week left.
Chloe is worried that we'll have no money left on my card and she wants to check her emails again later, but at this price I'm not sure I want to come back at all. Seriously, 50p a minute? And it's not even a particularly fast connection. Hence no checking of anything except emails. And typing this.
Anyway, we ought to be seeing whales and dolphins at some point, which will be cool. mum's already seen a whale spout and a dolphin fin, but no more of either animal. Partly doubt the vercity of those as well, but hush hush. Also, I'm getting my hair done. Interestingly. But no more on that til I get back. If I wear a hat a lot, it's not necessarily because I don't like my hair - it's because I want it to last.
So, summary: Sea! Volcanoes! Food! Sun! Hair! Marine Mammals!

(back the saturday after next, but I'm working on sunday too, so god knows when i'll get time to see y'all. I might even be tanned... well, off white. You know me.)
