12/6/04 09:01 amthe molecule that controls face growth in human embryos is called, wait for it... sonic hedgehog. I kid you not. Or, at least, any complaints and corrections can be directed to Armand Leroi and a bunch of American scientists he interviewed for the Human Mutants program. Even he didn't attempt to explain why the daft woman named it after an old computer game, but they all seemed quite happy referring to it as sonic hedgehog.
I have The Authority comics to pick up from the library. ::library love:: And today, I swear, I'll do some revision. It's getting kinda ridiculous. And I don't have the excuse of waking up feeling sick.
That whole thing about not feeling pain in dreams, though, is a complete lie. I grabbed the sword of a ouse owner made of gummi bear substance and the scratches on my hand hurt. This was all part of a dream where Chloe had organised a party in the house of someone who was out, but she had to clear all the party goers out by midnight (I think hte house owner might have planned to come back then). She sent some of us to bed down next door, but failed to ask the permission of the house owner there. She was meant to be talking to him when he confronted me, sword and sticky body and all, in the door of the bedroom. Turned out he was a pretty nice guy, so i took him outside to meet the other party people. Sian (friend from senior school) said we were a refelction of each other. Even though I knew I could see my reflection in his face, I wound her up about it anyway. And then the dream morphed into something else, and my hand still hurt. So hah, pain in dreams.
Something on livejournal is now stopping me from seeing people's memories. Is it happening to any one else? It might be another NIS thing.
