Letter to the internet
12/5/04 07:28 pmDear Internet/Browser/Trojan Horse virus/Any other virus lurking around,
You know, it's generally considered impolite to pretend something doesn't exist when everyone knows it does. Like insisting you haven't got an elephant behind your back. In much the same way, it's impolite to give me the 'page not found screen' every time I click a link in LiveJournal. It's even ruder to do it repeatedly, like, six times in a row.
I know the page exists. You know the page exists. Bringing up a random menu, and even te occasionally pop up advert, will not convince either of us that it is otherwise. Making me delete the beginning of your silly code prior to the address I typed in also won't make me any happier, because unlike, you know, a normal error page you don't even bother leave me with a 'try again' link.
I have a theory as to why you are doing this. It's all tied in with this strange blue menu bar (blyykoousou, as it's known) that appears every time I open IE. And reappears every time I move to another page, for at least eight pages. In turn, I believe this is linked to that Casino popup that arrives maybe 50% of the time whenever the internet is turned out.
In short, i put to you one question:
Why Livejournal? Why the one bloody site I use most of all??
Signed,
UpYoursInternet

Date: 12/5/04 02:52 pm (UTC)Ooh, in the past couple of days I've managed to get that virus you got twice, except my virus checker told me immediately it got onto the system and then isolated it once I ran the virus checker, so if you want AVG as well. . . . ^_^ We're just bombarding you with programs here. :P
