Yahoo seems to have decided not to work. Hmm. And downloading Fruits Bastket 25 is driving me insnae, because there seems to be one sole person out there with the right file, and it keeps forgetting this and queueing me up for other people, only to come up with "file mismatch 004". So now I'm hunting for one of this mismathcd people to download it from, despite teh fact that I've already got half of it, since I've had half of it for about a week now, and episode 24 ends on a cliffhanger!!

In a minute I will work. First I will prevaricate. And try and make yahoo work. Got lots of revision done today, plus filled in most of my passport form, and will find some free picture host site so you can laugh at the passport photos and be jealous of Clo's new dress. I really need to find a new free pic host things, since the one hosting all the pics on my lj has decided it will no longer do direct linking, and the other one I occasional use has a very limited number of views per month, so by about the 3rd it's just a nice big error message. Any suggestions?

Uh . . . hon, if you're getting a file mismatch it means the episode you're downloading is corrupted. Everyone else apart from that one person has the correct file, so you're going to need to redownload it - and avoid that one person in future! You start downloading from them and it will corrupt the file again.

Quick hint: do not watch episode 25 until you have episode 26 as well. Otherwise you really will be tearing your hair out over the cliffhanger. ^_^

No idea what to do about the remote image thing. I used villagephotos.com a while back, and that never seemed to run out of bandwidth, so you could try that. . . . I dunno. ^_^

village photos are the ones who've stopped remote linking. It's odd, though, because depending where I am I can still see hte pictures. I guess college never empty their cache (sp?)

I guess I have to delete the episode I've started downloading, yes, and start over again?

You what? But it still says the site is for you to remote link from. That's just weird. O.o

On the episode - I had to. You can try using the "trim 10K from end of file" feature, which is there specifically for when a file becomes corrupted, but I had the same problem with ep 25 and found that didn't work. You might be able to download the rest of it from that one person, but it's doubtful. :(

PS: I've finished Healing and the ending is pissing me off. Could I perhaps prevail upon you to help me out a bit with a beta? Being the lovely lovely person you are. ^_^

I think the villagephotos thing is you now need a paid account for direct linking. other than that, it just gives you urls to use in emails etc. and myimgs has nasty bandwidth limits, and everywhere else I've looked you have to pay something, even if it's a one off.
