I've just started an essay called "Sinbad and teh Weapons of Mas destruction." Did you know Sinbad was Iraqi? Not in the recent Hollywood film, he wasn't. Oh, and the Labour 2001 eleciton pledge specifically stated they weren't going to introduce top up fees, and would actually implement legislation to prevent them? Riiiight.

Things to hunt down for this essay:
- the quote Shink showed me ages ago, which I assumed was Bush, and turned out to be Goebbels (i think)
- a copy of the labour 2001 eleciton pledge
- nineteen eighty four
- a bunch of anything else that might be relevant.

I'm just feeling very disillusioned witho our government right now. Ugh. Sorry, but Blair's got to go. I'm going to hunt down a friend who isn't intending to vote and make them vote Lib Dem for me (damn July birthday menaing I'll miss the next election by bare months)

In other news, I didn't have any money for lunch to day so I had five tubes of smarties, a packet of skittles and two bottles-worth of water. I was just sugar water. Hyper for a bit, then felt like being a real bitch. Must write more greenhelm so i can introduce bitchy character. Oh, and felt sick when i got home, which was harly surprising. Done more Greenhelm writing, which pleases me, because it's about time I focused on original stuff. Sorry to anyone waiting for more DD, OUAN or MIS. Why I'm writing three multipart fanfics for three differenet series is beyond me. I'm in a Greenhelm mood, which pleases me. It's been four years already.

Okay, sister home, I can go to bed now. Damn her and her lack of key.

My computer is insisting it's november and LJ woh't let me post. WTF?

Yes, we would all be better off with Blair out of power. However, who's going to replace him? Our government's filled with twats. He's just the least twatty of them all. >.<

. . . hang on a minute, are the elections next year?

2004, yes. Or they ought to be: they actually varying from 3 to 5 years between elections, bepending what the political climate is like. i.e. they wouldn't hold an election if London had it's own 11/9.

Way I see it, there are two option: Labour party with a new leader or Lib Dems. the Tories have done nothing to inspire any confidence in them sicne, well, since they lost power. Labour and Blair specifically are about as popular as spam. ib Dems have this wonderful advantage of not having had power since before any of the voters were born, and generally keeping such a low profile there's not much bad to be said about them. Plus, they want to reintroduce grants for University.

Our least experienced party is the one that seems best to go into power. Coz that says so many good things about our government.

Actually, people have said plenty of bad things about them. The lib dems pretty much only exist at the moment to harass whoever's in power. Although I do like the Uni grants thing.
