9/11/03 10:26 pmBonfire night was fun. Fireworks were pretty, and yet again I wished I had taken the camera, and resolved to do so next year (I've been doing that for about three years now - we always end up standing behind the same tree, and it always looks picture perfect). There was the witch and hte boats and hte champagne bottles (i.e. hte pyrotechnics) but no cather wheels (they never worked anyway) and everything was moved by men pulling the frames along on bits of string ^_^ Then Clo and I went of to the Venn's and watched Moulin Rouge on their big screen projector with Roz. And Roz and I will shanghai Anria into watching it, despite protestations. Considering she shares a lot of likes with both Roz and myself, and both Roz and I like the film, it seems odd that she doesn't. ::waves at Anria:: How far did you get, watching it? Depressing intro? Kylie Absinthe Fairy? Inside the Moulin? Inside the Elephant?
I have this raly annoying little blue menu appearing at the top of IE. According to hte site, i must have downloaded, and in hte help there is an uninstal thing. See, thing is, i didn't download it. No on in hte family did. It just appeared, probvably as a result of a mistakenly opened spam email. Hence, there is no help thing, and no uninstaller. I could download one, but considering how this thing appeared in the first place I'm not sure that's a good idea. So I put up with annoying blue search bar, complete with annoying buttons directing me to annoying things (which at the moment are all clean, usually it's pointing me to at least one set of porn sites).
Tired. This overtired thing actually starting to show. See, I go to bed at reasonable times, but don't sleep til late. Or, I go to bed late, but wake up early. Either way, sleep is not a-coming and the Min is still a-grouchy. Except not really, but it's becoming a viable option.

Date: 10/11/03 07:04 pm (UTC)As for MR: I got half an hour into it. I am firmly of the opinion that if a film can be that crap after half an hour of it and show no signs of getting better, it is not worth my time.
. . . besides, I hate musicals. They're so . . . trite.
Have you tried sleeping pills?

How about this? Ignore the story, and watch some of the clips, pretending they're not from a musical. The Roxanne Tango is amazing.

Date: 10/11/03 08:41 pm (UTC)Let me and Roz find you god bits of MR. Ewan Mcgregor sings nicely just after you stopped, then he sings nicely on top of the elephant and almost falls off a bunch of times. Though my favourite is still the Tango/ Roxanne by Sting. So much voice from pretty little man, and brilliant synchronised tango form about fifty pairs.
