I was okay with proportional representation until the BNP got in in my county because they came fucking fifth. Suddenly I'm so much more in favour of First Past the Post. 16,000 more people and that candidate would have been Green.

It was the same in the North West (last past the post), except it would only have taken 6,000 more votes for Green to prevent it.

(Nick Clegg Griffin ((ooops!)) was on Radio 4 this morning. Christ. Even if you are a racist fucktard, why would you vote for someone so stupid and incoherent?)

I'm trying to work out the turnout, but the Beeb is failing. It's basically 15 million out of a possible 44 million. A third? Does anyone know if that's better or worse than normal?

I usually find Nick Clegg OK, if somewhat uninspiring. I'm still really depressed by the fact that UKIP are above Lib Dems, and really depressed than the Greens are below the BNP.

I didn't mean Nick Clegg! I hold the Lib Dem's in some affection, though he's really got to work harder to raise their public profile (I am impressed at how many languages he speaks, though). I meant Nick BNP-face. That's the problem with impassioned ranting! Clearly, I'm too annoyed to even remember his name properly.
