31/7/07 11:08 amUPS apparently came by yesterday to give me the dress I ordered, but missd me, so here I am, spending all day inside waiting for them, so I can hand over £22 (for tax and brokerage, which the nice lady at UPS informed me was a charge that could have been avoided) for something I already paid £25 postage on. Snippy emails have been sent. This dress was going to be one of the most expensive items of clothing I owned at £35, let alone £80.
The morning thus far, excluding snippy emails, has been spent concluding that I don't need a new phone, and that my next MP3 player is going to be one of those cheapo 4gig ones from Currys for £30. MP3 player phones are not worth it, and nor are most other phones: I don't need a camera, or video, or 3G, or internet... And hey, mine's lasted me over four years already without a single glitch, bug, or freeze.
I <3 St Nick's Fields, wth butterflies and fruit and random stone circles, and I <3 the good weather (though not today, when I'm waiting for UPS). Also, finding Beauty and the Beast one video for £1.50 yesterday (since Disney have stopped doing the DVDs altogheter). I hate carsickness, which returned once again when I went to drop Mike's eMac off for him at Clifton Moor (CM makes me feel worse than anywhere else in York, in a car, but so does the hot weather and I'm not looking forwards to being driven from Norwich to Beccles in August, even if it is much better than home to Beccles). I hate some other stuff too, I forget what. Doing nothing, waiting to start work. Finding I've spent over £80 on a dress. And still not getting my Avengers DVDs. That last deserves a snippy email too, since they should have arrived last week, and haven't even been shipped yet.
I do <3 my phone though, my little, basic, four year old phone that has never gone wrong. Which will now, like the last time I appreciated it, go missing somewhere, because that's how the universe works.

Date: 31/7/07 01:03 pm (UTC)Norwich to Beccles isn't very far, but the dual carriageway in that direction runs out just outside of Norwich and if you get stuck behind something agricultural, it can take a while. Have you tried the herbal travel sickness pills? I find they're quite good, probably because they're really chalky and stomach-settling.
