FREE comics
17/6/07 08:33 pmFree comics! Very free to people within walking distance, postage costs only to everyone else.
I've grouped them by title, but feel free to ask for single issues.

Snakes on a Plane #1 - the first half of the film, in comicbook form.

Robin 102, 107, 124, 133 - Batman's latest sidekick kicks sides throughout Gotham

DC Silver Edition Batman: Sword of Azrael #4 (1994) - Azrael replaced Bruce Wayne as Batman for a while, and though he's not any longer he still has some ties to the clan. He's also bugfuck insane.
Wonder Woman #2 (2006) - Wonder Woman has retired, but her villains haven't, and they're not impressed with the Wonder Girls taking her place.
Green Arrow #65 (2006) - Green Arrow is Mayor, sighting the good fight and legallising gay marriage.
The Brave and the Bold #3 (2007) Starring Batman and Blue Beetle - The new Blue Beetle rocks. He has an alien suit that he can't quite understand, and makes dorky comments. There's also Supergirl and Lobo and some other plot thread, but mostly BB and Batman rock.
The Return of Donna Troy #4 (2005) - she was dead, now she's not. The ex-Wonder Girl's continuity gets even more complicated.
Birds of Prey #95 (2006) - An ex-supervillain takes on the mantel of a current superhero, which doesn't please her very much.
Batman #639 (2005) - Don't remember at all. Some time around when Robin's parents died?
Batgirl #65 (2005) - Batgirl, who absolutely rocked, confronts her daddy issues for father's day. Daddy having brought her up to be a mute ninja assassin and forcing her to kill people at the age of 8.

Outsiders 23, 24, 25, 34, 35, 36, 37, 41 - Some of the Teen Titans grew up, and have their own darker, grittier team. The first three revolve around a traitor in the ranks, and crosses over with the Teen Titans. The others are the 'OYL' team, in which the Outsiders take things to an international level, and run DC's most famous gay bestial couple, Mallah and the Brain (it's a French gorilla, and a brain in a jar, and they're in love. God bless DC).

The Next 1 and 2 - Sort of runaway students from another dimension accidentally tear holes in time and space and land in a girl's house. She deals, they deal, Superman deals. Dinosaurs happen.

JSA #78 and #85 and JSA Classifed #8, #9 and #12 - The Justice Society are the WW2 Justice League, minus the big three, from an alternate universe (because there's a limit as to how many Supermen you really want on one world). They fought Nazis. The universes got merged. They picked up new members, including Powergirl and Stargirl and various others.

Ultimate X-men double issues #21-#25 (normal format #37-#46) - reboot of the X-men, nice and continuity free, traditional teenage superheroing with lots of pop culture references.

Uncanny X-men #428 (2003) The Draco Prologue - Nightcrawler's history begins to unfold. Shortly before Austen goes completely nuts with it.
New X-men: Academy X #3, #4, #5 (2004) Choosing Sides parts 3 - 5 - Professor Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters is schoolish again, with teenaged students and everything. Pre M-day, so some fan favourites are still about (the current writers seem determined to kill off a charactre and issue).
Wolverine #25 (2005) Enemy of the State part 6 of 6 - I don't remember. Wolverine fights SHIELD, I guess. Just before he goes nuts.
X-men: Deadly Genesis (2006) 6 of 6 - Professor Xavier's been keeping naughty unethical secrets from the team
Postage: 60p for the first comic, 10p for each additional. Or US$2.00 for the first, and 50 cents for each additional. Or 71.50 Euros for the first, and 50 cents for each additional. Or whatever currency is convenient. Or free, if you live in York.
(apologies for the change in postage prices; it just occurred to me that I needed to include the price of the envelope!)

Date: 17/6/07 10:51 pm (UTC)How would you like to sort out addresses/payment?
(Alternatively, I have friends still living in York I could banter into picking the comics up, if you'd prefer? Or...I'm going to be back in York in mid July for my MA graduation...?)
Thank you muchly,

Date: 18/6/07 08:26 pm (UTC)I shall give you a bell when I'm in York, yis. :)
And as for the Robin stuff... I'd still like it, but if you have anyone else who wants it, then I don't mind being overtaken. :)
