minervasoloI'm finally in a mood where I actually feel like I've accomplished stuff, instead of knowing I have but not feeling like it.
Today I have:
- bought a rug (it even matches the decor, and it's thick and warm and was only £15)
- bought two DVDs (the Oxfam on Mickelgate has a lot of cheap anime in the window, well worth a look)
- written a chunk more of my essay
- cleaned out the cupboards and drawers in the kitchen (someone else, as I've stated a few times now, can do the washing up)
- written the contents page of the magazine (harder work than you'd think, actually)
Regarding the magazine: If we take it to the printers on Thursday, there's a good chance we won't get in back in time for Fresher's Fayre. I work on Wednesdays, so unless someone else is willing to stick it all on a disk and deal with them, that's out too. This leaves tomorrow or Tuesday. Now, I wanted to take it tomorrow morning, but it doesn't look like that's happening. We still have all the gaps we had this morning that I mentioned, and Marie needs a chance to correct my appalling typing. I can't really put any more of my own stuff in, since there's a fic, some poems and a picture in there already, and I've got the editorial to do. I've got to remember to leave space for the artistic credits when I get the covers too, though there should be plenty of room underneath the submission guidelines.
If we don't get any more stuff, I'm going to have to delete four pages, which will include at least one person's work. That's going to be an interesting morning.
Oh, and regarding Wentworth tonight: you guys can do as you wish, but it looks like Toast (and I) will be here watching Futurama. If you guys do go, I might drop by later.
