Playing with the Surname Profiler: I have a very southern surname, particularly around the area with the same name, it being a locational name. In 1881, it was al weirdly skewed up and slightly eastwards along the country. Hmm. It's pretty much solely English ,and more popular now than a hundred years ago. Most Kingston's live in Northhampton.
I just ran into CHicago Mike in town! Turns out he's finished his degree, and he's come back to York for a holiday, since he still got student prices on the ticket, making it reasonable to do so. He walked with me to Sainsbury's, and we chatted. Twas very cool to see him again.
