Watched Highlander for the first time last night. I understand what the fuss is about, but it's also a great movie to mock. Silly swords and unnecessary backflips ahoy! Casting the French man as Scottish and the Scottish man as Egyptian! (seriously, if you've got Sean Connery, what the hell are you doing trying to convince us he's Egyptian??). If I spot the others at the library, I might get them out, though I have been forewarned.

Also got Ghostbusters and the new Peter Pan yesterday, so I shall be watching them soon. Peter Pan looks so shiny and pretty, while it'll be good to see more than the last ten mintues of Ghostbusters for once. I've seen the second one so many times, but I've never seen all of the first. And I've been in such a Ghostbusters mood recently.

Tomorrow, essay begins, but today I've still got a minute to think about the magazine. We're really, really short on stuff, since we've had no new submissions, just spam. If anyone's got anything they'd like to see in print: ws.submissions@gmail.com

I got Highlander free with a newspaper (well, Ok, I bought the paper for the DVD), I really ought to watch it at some point!

Whatever you do, don't go near Highlander Endgame. It's a movie that I would only buy in order to destroy utterly. But the Highlander TV series is good.

According to many fans Highlander Two does not exist, even the filmmakers got embarrassed and pretended it never happened when they made the third one.

Just close your ears to any rumors you hear of additional Highlander movies that were filmed after this one. Those are lies, foul lies.

I have heard enough to know to know they should be approached wih caution, or at least alcohol. Though the TV series and hte cartoon are meant to be alright, so I'll keep an eye out for those.
