26/2/06 03:05 pmHaven't updated much recently. Which is odd, because, for once, some interesting stuff has been happening.
On Tuesday, I cooked a Roast. All byt myself (apart from the gravy, but I can forgive myself that ^_^)
On Wednesday I went to see Sandi Thom, who was absolutely brilliant. The girl before her was pretty good, though as Toast pointed out it did all sound a bit similar, and I recognised some of the music from my Norah Jones album.
On Thursday, I went on a good pub crawl of York. In three hours we got through eight pubs, in order: The Minster Inn, The Maltings, The Hussar, The Three-Legged Mare, The York Arms (or possibly the King's Arms, my brain has gone phut), The Last Drop inn, The Bluebell, and The Rook and Gaskell. Three glasses of fruit wines (the apple is fowl, by hte way, don't try it), three Baileys, and a vodka and lemonade, I woke up absolutely fine!
On Friday, the most exciting thing that happened was I cleaned the bathroom, but I'm still kinda proud of that.
On Saturday, we saw Vikings! Had a look at the battle drills, the long ships, the 'life of a viking' thing, and the big battle in the afternoon. A little disappointed in the battle, since we couldn't hear the announcer and thus the people not dying and the repeated battles didn't really make much sense.
Today, we went to see more vikings, but it seems the boat burial isn't on (though they weren't really telling anyone). Still, had a poke round the Tenth Century Traders thing, which was cool. Also, bought the second two Prince of Persia games.
The plan was to come back and write. I was leaning towards that kid's story thing. Alas, I have absolutely no desire to write any more. Plus, my fingers are a little stiff. No desire to write anything, or rewrite, or go anywhere near a word processor in general. Ugh.
